Pumpkin Day 2010!

Matt, Jana, and I had a blast this weekend with Courtney, Josh, and Jocelyn!  We woke up real early Saturday morning to get to the *best" pumpkin patch in the area... The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Celina!  We had a blast.  They had a petting zoo that the girls just loved.  We fed sheep, donkeys and cows, and even saw a giant longhorn.

We all ate hot dogs and took pictures, and then went on the girls' first hay ride!  So cute watching them!  After the hay ride we took some pictures and picked out our pumpkins.  Both girls got a pretty giant pumpkin so we could carve them later.

Of course both girls remembered there was such a thing as PUMPKIN PIE... so Courtney and I had to make one for them.  It was delish!  We also roasted some pumpkin seeds which Matt was afraid of, but Josh chowed down on.  I thought this was all pretty impressive considering I had never seen the inside of a real pumpkin before now!

After all the baking was done, we finally carved pumpkins.  Jana insisted on Tinkerbell... OMG it was so hard!  Courtney made a Star Wars one for Jocelyn.  We finally finished them and wrapped up our Pumpkin Day '10 about 12 hours after we started!  It was so much fun, I think we may have to make this a yearly tradition!
